The debate about the future of the planet and of mankind arouses a growing interest and fuels international initiatives involving institutions, communities and individuals. And if the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations defined the 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development (and possible), each of us – small or large, individual or group – can and must contribute to the achievement of a greater environmental, social and economic balance, necessary for the present and future well-being.
The activity starts from a collective and interactive reflection on key issues such as climate change, gender equality, life on earth and renewable energy and then focus on the sustainability of living and complex organisms such as cities, outlining a specific focus on the city of Florence and the role that each citizen has in protecting, preserving and enhancing the heritage.
The activity was conceived in the context of the European project AtlaS.WH. The AtlaS.WH project has been realized by the Municipality of Florence, Florence World Heritage Office and relations with UNESCO, in collaboration with MUS.E. association.
