On the occasion of the 35 years of the Erasmus + Program 2021-2027, on 10th May at 9.00 pm at the Verdi Theater in Florence, the Erasmus Orchestra returns with the concert “Europe becomes music. Happy birthday Erasmus!

The event will see the involvement of more than 50 Erasmus students from over 20 Italian conservatories and musical institutes, directed by Maestro Elio Orciuolo, to perform some of the most famous classical music arias of the most important European composers.

Established in 2017 on the initiative of the Indire Erasmus + National Agency, the Erasmus Orchestra is a unique staff of its kind, made up of students from conservatories and music institutes who have carried out or are carrying out an Erasmus international mobility experience. The initiative aims to promote the values ​​of the Erasmus Generation – open, dynamic, supportive – using music as a metaphor for integration, meeting and development of skills beyond any linguistic, geographical and cultural barrier. Since its inauguration, the performances of the Erasmus Orchestra have been a great success with the public and interest not only on a national level.

The event is organised by Indire Erasmus + National Agency in collaboration with Conservatorio di Musica “L. Cherubini” of Florence.

It is reccomended to arrive at the entrance of the theater at least half an hour before the start (8.30 PM). For access to the theater, the current regulations on safety protocols apply.
